These are websites accustomed to fuel the social media phenomenon. If you`re not aware of how social networking sites function, people use these sites to form associations with others that share the same personal or professional interests. Millions of people are using these sites to keep in touch with their families and friends.
Now companies are jumping on the bandwagon and incorporating social networks into their marketing campaigns. Although, social networking is relatively new, it`s gaining status as a new method for companies to effectively market their products and services due to the following:

- Economical
- Ability to market 24/7

The main reason for a marketing campaign would be to promote your product or service to your target audience. Believe to network reach your target audience than you are on their own turf? Years back the normal advertising campaign would have consisted of junk mail, print advertising, and if you can afford it TV or radio ads. One thing all the aforementioned mediums neglect to do would be to encourage participation.
Social networking sites enable you to instantaneously connect with your target audience and receive feedback relating to your service and product. Regardless of what social networking site your organization decides to participate, all of them will allow you to foster a more in-depth relationship with your customers-the degree by which this is achieved rests solely upon your organization. Individuals are already doing the things they meant to do on these-connect with family and friends-you (companies) are the new kid on the market so it is up to you how you want others to perceive your brand.
An organization`s objectives for how to incorporate social networking into their marketing campaigns often differ. For instance, Beth Bridges, Membership Director of Clovis Chamber of Commerce states that, "Our objective in using social networking is to create a trusted community and also to increase awareness of their events within the community. We also use social networking sites to have more personal interaction with members who we might not see at regular networking activities and reach a lot of younger business people in the community who`re using social networking a lot more extensively to advertise themselves as well as their businesses."
It`s a victorious one that the majority of companies that are new to social media might be lured to mention their product every 5 minutes on these sites-it is in your best interest not to do so. I recognize that many organizations`s main objective for using social networks would be to promote their product. I am not telling you to abandon your objective-just affect the method in how you decide on so.
People use products and services for various reasons and you will don`t know any of them if you don`t take the time to foster rapport together with your target audience. Many happen to be conditioned into believing that companies could care less about their customers so it`s up to your organization to demonstrate them wrong. Those who successfully do will reap the benefit of loyal customers. These customers will then share your product or service using their friends and family. It is more effective if you enable your target market promote your product for you personally.
